Answer

What to do if there is a Digital Rights Management (DRM) error

Something may change with your computer's settings that causes the Digital Rights Management (DRM) software to malfunction. If this occurs, you will need to reset your Windows DRM to listen to or watch OverDrive titles.

Here are some example error codes you might get when you have a DRM error:

  • 0x80070057

  • 0xC00D2751

  • 0xC00D2781

  • 0xC00D2711

Microsoft has solutions you can try

If you're still having trouble, please contact support for your library. You should find the support link on your library's digital collection website.

When contacting support, please be sure to send the exact error message, what version of Windows you are using, and the title you are having trouble with. With detailed information about the error, support will be able to quickly help you out.
