Answer

You can check out ebooks for your Kindle through one of our digital download platforms, accessible through our public website (hmcpl.org); Digital Media Zone, Axis360 or Freading. We have had Digital Media Zone the longest so if you are new to the process, I would recommend starting with it.

Go the public website. In the top left corner click on 'My Digital Library'. From the options that appear scroll down to the green icon for Digital Media Zone. Go into it and log on with your complete library card number and PIN number. Make sure you choose Huntsville-Madison County Public Library. You can browse the collection doing searches on fiction or nonfiction. You can also access several Help files by clicking on the Help icon (the question mark). There are several 'getting started' links, including 'Getting Started with My Kindle', which tells you what you will need for downloading an ebook to your Kindle.
