Q. How much does it cost to get a library card?

Answer

The library card for a Madison County resident is free with proper identification. Replacement cards for users still in the system that have lost their cards cost $2.00.

For non-residents, there is a $20 annual fee for an individual card, $35 annual fee for families. A government-issued photo ID with correct name and address is required.

For library users only interested in using computers, a PC User card is available free of charge. Although a photo ID is required to register for the PC User Card, Madison County residency is not required.
