Q. What types of storytimes does the Main library offer?


The main library offers at least 8 different types of storytimes.

Book Babies - This storytime is geared towards babies, pre-walking, and their caregivers. There is lots of repetition, songs, nursery rhymes, and cuddling to begin building the foundation of literacy.

Wiggles and Walking - This storytime is for babies who have begun walking and their caregivers. This program includes songs, stories, nursery rhymes, and movement games to continue building your little one’s pre-literacy skills. 

Toddler - This storytime is for 2-3 year olds. This program includes exploring 2-3 age appropriate books, fingerplays, and songs to increase language skills, and finishes with an easy to do craft to help build motor skills.

Pre-school - Each of these storytimes follow a special theme which changes each week. It includes 3-4 books and lead songs, fingerplays, rhymes and finishes with a craft designed to strengthen fine motor skills.

Music and Rhyme Time - This program includes sing alongs, musical instrument activities,  rhythm & movement, and a musical story.

All Ages - All Ages Storytime is for families and groups of all ages. This program includes 3-4 books, songs, and a craft, with occasional special actvities.

Spanish - Este programa es en español y es por niños de todos las edades. Ms Paola va a leer cuentos y cantar canciones en español.

This program is in Spanish and is for children of all ages.  Ms. Paola will read some stories and lead some songs in Spanish.
