Q. Whre can I find good online sources on U.S. and world history?

One excellent source is Ebsco's "History Reference Center,"found on the Alabama Virtual Library (AVL). It includes journal and magzine articles from over 150 historical periodicals.  The source also contains over 1600 online versions of print resources from many of the leading historical publishers. Another source is "Gale Encyclopedia of U.S. History: Government and Politics," found in the Gale Virtual Refernce Library as part of the AVL. This is an online version of a two volume set that provides a concise history of the U.S. government and political scene throughout American history with an emphasis on how social change has been inluenced by and has been impacted by our government. Both sources are aimed at middle school and high school students working on history projects.
