Q. Where can I find good online information on developing my public speaking skills?

One good online source provided by the Library is an online collection of study guides called "Learning Express Library" that includes a course on public speaking. This source can be accessed through the Library's web page (hmcpl.org), selecting "Online Resources," and then choosing "Learning Express." You will need to ask a library staff member to create an account with Learning Express by entering your full library card number and creating a pin number. Once you've registered at the Library, you will be able to access the resource at home through the Library's web site. After login, select "College Students" and then select "Public Speaking Skills Improvemwent." You will then have access to an E-Book and can save it in "My Center" in order to read and save it for future use. The E-book, entitled "Public Speaking Success in 20 Minutes a Day," uses a step-by-step approach to quickly improve your speaking skills. A great source for anyone wanting to become a better speaker.
