Q. Where can I find online information to help prepare for the Registered and Certified Medical Assistant exams?

The Library provides access to an excellent online collection of study guides called "Learning Express Library" that includes sample prep tests for the Certified and Registered Medical Assistant exams (CMA & RMA). This source can be accessed through the Library's web page (hmcpl.org), selecting "Online Resources," and then choosing "Learning Express." You will need to ask a library staff member to create an account with Learning Express by entering your full library card number and creating a pin number. Once you've registered at the Library, you will be able to access the resource at home through the Library's web site. After login, select "Jobs and Careers" and then choose "Nursing and Allied Health," and finally "Licensure and Certification Test Preparation." You will then have access to a number of E-Tests and E-books and can save them in "My Center" in order to retake and review them. There are several practice exams for the CMA test and an E-book entitled "Medical Assistant: Preparation for the RMA and CMA Exams." A perfect source for students preparing for a career as a medical assistant.
